experienced Systems Engineers who are able to assume a lead role to
support our Combat Vehicle and Naval Guns Product Lines. Here we

currently working 3 days / week on-site and up to 2 days / week
remotely on a 9/80 schedule with every other Friday off (100%
remote will be considered) out of either our Minneapolis, MN or
Sterling Heights, MI offices.As a Principal Systems Engineer, you
will:
- Direct or support requirements development and management.
- Develop and manage subsystem and component performance
specifications by analyzing and deriving necessary
requirements.
- Develop and maintain requirements verification and compliance,
and supporting artifacts.
- Support requirements decomposition analysis to help drive
concept architectures and system characteristics.
- Direct and facilitate architecture development of assigned
system, subsystems, and components.
- Direct development and maintenance of interface requirements
and interface design information for assigned sub-system, system
and components.
- Document concept design decisions and support generating
System/Subsystem Design Descriptions (SSDDs) and capability
assessments.
- Coordinate and facilitate formal decisions and trade studies to
drive design and document results.
- Support the monitoring of cost, schedule, and risk.
- Coordinate Systems Engineering activities to influence the
design.
- Support vehicle level Systems Engineering activities and
program milestone reviews.Here is a to give you an idea about the

- Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6+ year's relevant
experience.
- Systems engineering experience performing requirements
analysis, derivation and allocation, and translating requirements
to viable concepts design solutions within applicable
constraints.
- Experience developing architecture concepts and evaluating
alternatives.
- Knowledge of how to balance system design considering system
concept of operations (CONOPS), performance, constraints, and
logistics concerns.
- Knowledge of how to plan, conduct and document complex trade
studies.
- Experience generating System / Subsystem Design Descriptions
and capability assessments per the program statement of work.
- Excellent oral and written communication techniques.
- May consider candidates who do not meet all the above
requirements for a more junior role or additional experience for a
more senior role.Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering or Electrical
Engineering with a Master's degree in Systems Engineering.
- Experience with military vehicle systems.
- Logical architecture experience, including development of use
cases.
- Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), including
SysML methodology and tools like Cameo.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense Architecture Framework
(DoDAF).
- Experience with DOORS requirements management tool.
- Have and maintain INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering
Professional (CSEP) certification.
- Leadership and mentoring of engineers.Pay InformationFull-Time
Salary Range: $112420 - $191070Please note: This range is based on
our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are
determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to:
business considerations, local market conditions, and internal
equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills,
