Shift: Evening (2:00pm to 10:30pm)Charge Nurse--(RN) responsibilities:--Display--an attitude of courtesy and respect for all residents, families, and staff.Function--as a team member with other staff in performance of duties.Manage--medications, supplies, and equipment including ordering, receiving, storing, and disposing of all items in accordance with policies and procedures.Administer--medications and/or treatments in accordance with physician's orders and monitors for effectiveness/response.Implement--individual plan of care for resident and monitors staff providing care.Notify nurse manager, attending physician, and family members of significant changes in a resident's condition, and takes follow up action as necessary.Order--lab, x-ray, ambulance, and other services as necessary.Receive, transcribes, and carries out physician's orders.Participate--in direct resident care as needed.Admit, transfer, and discharge--residents according to procedures.Monitor--nursing personnel on duty during the assigned shift.Perform additional tasks as requested. Charge Nurse (RN) skills and requirements:Current MN Registered Nurse (RN) License--required.Must have strong nursing and leadership skills.
